Emily Bairstow, age 9, from Devon, wrote to The Art Fund in February to tell them that she has given £10 her pocket money towards the Hoard campaign. (The letter was actually addressed to Tony Robinson). We thought it would be a nice gesture to arrange a trip for her and her mother to see the Hoard displays the Potteries museum. It would also be a chance for some positive publicity for the campaign in both Stoke and in Devon.
Pictured is Emily aged 9 with Parents Alison (Blonde) and Alan (Grey) and Deb Klemperer Curator (Long Hair).
Also on some images is 50,000th visitor Bruce Lewis aged 10 from Alsager with Dad Michael . Bruce a pupil at Alsager Highfields school was surprised when he found out he was the 50,000th visitor and was presented with various gifts from Curator Keith Bloor and some of the Saxon warriors.
